The South Dakota Bakers Association Convention at the Sheraton Sioux Falls Hotel & Convention Center on April 18th is more than just a one-day event — it’s a carefully curated experience designed to help bakers and treat makers across South Dakota grow their skills, expand their businesses, and strengthen their community connections.

February 16th:

Breakout Classes & Workshop Sessions Revealed:

We will be announcing all breakout classes and hands-on workshops. These sessions are designed to provide practical, real-world solutions you can immediately apply to your baking and business. Whether you’re focused on decorating, scaling production, pricing strategies, marketing, or refining your craft — there will be something for every level of baker.

March 2nd 

Keynote Speakers Announced:

Our keynote speakers will be revealed — and trust us, you do not want to miss this. These speakers were chosen to inspire, challenge, and elevate you. They will share insights on growth, resilience, creativity, and the evolving world of baking and entrepreneurship.

March 16th

Stage Shows & Live Demonstrations Revealed:

We’ll unveil our live stage experiences, demonstrations, and special event details. Expect interactive learning, high-energy presentations, and opportunities to see techniques and strategies brought to life in real time.

Networking Night Registration Opens Soon!

The evening before the convention, we will host an exclusive Networking Night designed specifically for connection and collaboration. This event will give attendees the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, exchange ideas, and form partnerships within the South Dakota baking community before the main convention day even begins.

The SDBA Convention exists to empower bakers across South Dakota. Our mission is to provide education, networking, and growth opportunities while strengthening the professional baking community statewide.

In addition to education and professional development, proceeds and sponsorships from this event help support:

• The SDBA Birthday Blessings Program, providing free birthday desserts to foster families across South Dakota in partnership with Foster 605
• Scholarship opportunities for students pursuing culinary education
• Ongoing resources and networking support for licensed bakers and treat makers throughout the state
